Baking pans
Enamel baking tins brown evenly, release cakes and bread easily, and do so without any coating. At Taiga, you’ll find more than 40 baking and oven tins from Riess — from loaf tins to large roasting trays.
How to recognise good baking tins
- Uncoated material: Enamel is a smooth, sealed surface applied directly to the metal — there’s nothing that can flake off over time and end up in your food.
- Even browning: Enamel transfers the oven’s heat evenly to your bakeware — cakes and bread develop an even colour without pale patches.
- The right shape and size: The 30 × 10 cm loaf tin is the standard size for loaf cakes; roasting trays range from compact (22 × 22 cm) to family-sized (33 × 42 cm), while the 24.8 × 20 cm mini-oven tin fits small ovens.
- More than cakes: Double roasters and covered roasting pans make this collection an essential oven range — from Sunday roasts to oven-roasted vegetables.
Our brand: why Riess
All the tins in this collection are made by Riess, a specialist in enamel cookware and bakeware. The range extends from the golden-yellow loaf tin and the professional line with roasting trays and a mini-oven tin to the black enamel double roaster — made to stay in use for many years.
Care: keeping enamel looking its best
Lightly grease the tin before baking or use baking paper, and your bake will release easily. Once it has cooled, warm water with a little washing-up liquid is usually all you need — soak stubborn residue briefly rather than scrubbing it. Enamel only dislikes hard knocks: otherwise, a piece of the glass layer may chip off at the edges.
Do I need to grease enamel baking tins?
Yes, a thin layer of grease or baking paper is enough. The smooth enamel surface then releases your bake easily — with no non-stick coating.
Which baking tin do I need for a loaf cake?
The classic 30 × 10 cm loaf tin — it is suitable for most sponge cake and loaf bread recipes and is the size used by many baking books.
