More about Facial Cleansing
Natural facial cleansing clears thoroughly without attacking the skin barrier — good formulas are pH-balanced, gentle and free from harsh surfactants. At Taiga, you’ll find cleansers, toners, micellar water and cleansing balms, many of them vegan and certified natural cosmetics — the first step in any considered skincare routine.
How to recognise good facial cleansers
Good cleansing removes make-up, sebum and dirt while keeping the skin barrier intact. Look for pH-balanced, gentle formulas without harsh surfactants, as well as certified natural cosmetics. The right texture for your skin type is just as important: a cleansing gel clears combination and oily skin, while cleansing lotion and melting cleansing balm care for dry and sensitive skin. A toner completes the cleansing routine.
Our brands: why we chose them
Dr. Hauck offers straightforward essentials such as cleansers, toners and micellar water — uncomplicated and focused on the essentials. Mukti Organics adds the Gentle Melt Cleansing Balm and caring floral mists, from rose to orange blossom. I+M represents certified natural cosmetics with gentle formulas in our range.
Practical knowledge: the right order
Cleanse in the morning and evening — more thoroughly in the evening to remove make-up and sun cream. Follow with toner to remove the last traces of cleanser and prepare the skin for your skincare routine. Finish with hydration and moisturiser. Healthy skin generally needs no more than two cleanses a day.
How often should you cleanse your face?
Twice a day is enough: a gentle cleanse in the morning and a thorough cleanse in the evening. If you sweat heavily or exercise, cleanse additionally — especially gently, so the skin barrier is not compromised.
What does a toner do after cleansing?
A toner removes the last traces of residue, balances the skin’s pH and prepares it for the skincare that follows — a small step with a noticeable effect, especially for sensitive skin.
Which cleanser is suitable for sensitive skin?
Gentle, pH-balanced formulas without harsh surfactants — for example, a gentle cleansing lotion or melting cleansing balm. What matters most is what’s not in them: no harsh surfactants and as few irritants as possible.
Once you’ve cleansed, continue with organic face cream, natural face masks, natural sun protection and the complete facial skincare range — consciously curated by Taiga.
