How to recognise a good seat pad
- Material: Virgin wool felt is warm and hard-wearing — it stands up to daily use without quickly looking flattened.
- Shape and size: Measure your seat beforehand and compare it with the listed dimensions — that way, the pad sits neatly in place instead of sticking out.
- Colour: The selection ranges from understated shades to vibrant colours — so your pad works in the dining room, kitchen or hallway.
Our brand: myfelt
All pads in this collection come from myfelt — a brand dedicated entirely to virgin wool felt. The designs have names such as Taro, Nilo, Kian and Mona, combining simple shapes with hard-wearing materials. You’ll also find seat cushions & poufs and rugs to match — plus more for your home in our Living & Sleeping collection.
Care: keeping felt looking good for longer
Virgin wool felt is easy to care for: shaking it out regularly or carefully vacuuming it is usually enough. Treat stains locally with lukewarm water and a little wool detergent — dab gently rather than rubbing, then leave flat to dry. Felt should not be put in the washing machine.
How do I clean felt seat pads?
For everyday care, shaking out or carefully vacuuming is enough. For stains, gently dab the affected area with lukewarm water and mild wool detergent. Avoid vigorous rubbing and machine washing — this helps the felt retain its shape and surface.
Will a bench pad fit every bench?
The collection includes a wide range of shapes and sizes. Measure the length and depth of your bench and compare them with the product dimensions — this will help you find a pad that sits neatly in place and covers the entire seat.
Why choose a virgin wool felt pad?
Virgin wool felt is naturally warm and hard-wearing: the pad retains its shape even with daily use, while wool feels warm wherever a wooden or metal bench would otherwise feel cold. It turns a hard seat into a favourite place to sit.
