Pans
Enamel pans are made for searing and flavourful braising: cut-resistant, durable and suitable for all hob types. This collection includes frying pans, omelette and egg pans, grill pans and country pans from Riess — from small pans for a fried egg to a large frying pan with lid.
How to recognise a good enamel pan
- Cut-resistant surface: Enamel withstands knives and metal turners — unlike delicate non-stick coatings, you don't have to worry about scratches.
- Suitable for all hob types: The enamel pans in this collection are suitable for all hob types.
- The right size: From the 18-cm egg pan and 22-cm omelette pan to the 37 × 26 cm frying pan with lid — choose your pan based on what you cook most often.
- Extra-strong for everyday use: Models such as the NOUVELLE “extra-strong” enamel pan (28 cm) are designed for intensive daily use.
Our brand: why Riess
All the pans in this collection are made by Riess, the enamelware specialist. We have deliberately focused on this one brand: Riess enamel is built to last — cookware that does not need replacing after two years, but can accompany generations. The selection ranges from the Classic Pure Grey series and Wavehandle models to the Eisen-Maronipfanne.
Practical guide: which pan is best for what?
The small egg pan (18 cm) is enough for fried and scrambled eggs; the omelette pan (22 cm) is the right size for omelettes and pancakes. The classic frying pan is an all-rounder — with a lid, it is also suitable for braising. The country pan is ideal for hearty dishes served straight from the pan, while the Eisen-Maronipfanne (32 cm) is the specialist tool for roasting chestnuts.

Which types of hob are enamel pans suitable for?
All hob types. This means the pan can remain in use when you move house or change your hob — one reason enamel is considered a particularly durable investment.
What is the difference between enamel and coated pans?
Enamel is cut-resistant: you can use metal utensils without damaging a delicate coating. It is also durable — a good enamel pan will serve you for many years.
Which pan size is right?
For eggs and small portions: 18–22 cm. As an all-round frying pan: around 28 cm, such as the NOUVELLE extra-strong model. For families and large dishes: the 37 × 26 cm frying pan with lid.
