More about Garbage bags
Bin bags made from recycled materials and renewable raw materials stay leakproof, do not tear and completely replace virgin plastic bags in everyday life. At Taiga, you'll find tear-resistant bin sacks, drawstring bin bags and perfectly fitted PerfectFit bags for Brabantia bins — from 2 to 120 litres.
How to recognise a good bin bag
First, the material: a high recycled content — up to 95% here — saves virgin plastic without compromising strength. Second, tear resistance: extra-strong sacks can safely carry 120 litres to the bin. Third, ease of use: a drawstring makes closing and lifting the bag cleaner. And fourth, the fit — a bag that sits exactly inside the bin does not slip and is used to its full capacity.
Our brands: why these ones
Pely supplies reliable classics: recycled bin sacks, drawstring bin bags with 95% recycled content and bin bags. Brabantia complements these with its PerfectFit system — bags developed to fit its own bins precisely, from 2-3 litres to 36 litres.
Practical advice: finding the right size
Brabantia bins have the size code directly on the bin: code V fits 2-3 litres, W fits 5 litres, X fits 10-12 litres, Y fits 20 litres and R fits 36 litres. For standard bins, choose according to capacity in litres — if in doubt, go one size larger so the bag sits neatly over the rim.
Which PerfectFit bag fits my Brabantia bin?
Check the letter code on your bin, such as V, W, X, Y or R, and choose the bag with the same code — it will then fit precisely without slipping.
Are recycled bin bags as tear-resistant as conventional ones?
Yes. What matters is the material thickness, not whether the plastic is virgin or recycled — the extra-strong 120-litre sacks in this collection are made for exactly that. For everyday general waste, the standard drawstring bin bags are more than sufficient.
What is the benefit of a drawstring on a bin bag?
You close the bag before lifting it out of the bin — nothing spills, nothing drips and the full bag can be carried safely. Especially with kitchen waste, it is a small detail that makes everyday life cleaner.
