Candles
Natural candles create a cosy atmosphere: instead of paraffin, many candles here use organic waxes such as stearin for a clean, even burn. From eco tealights and dinner candles to scented and massage candles, you’ll find the right light for every moment.
How to spot good candles
- The wax base: conventional candles are often made from paraffin, a petroleum product – organic stearin is the natural alternative.
- A clean burn: good candles burn evenly without potentially harmful residues in the indoor air.
- An honest burn time: with tealights, it’s worth checking the number of hours – here, between 7 and 10 hours depending on the variant.
- The right format: tealights for everyday use, dinner candles for a set table, pillar candles and candles in jars for long evenings.

Practical tips: how to make candles burn better and longer
Trim the wick to around half a centimetre before lighting – this prevents soot and flickering. When burning pillar candles for the first time, leave them lit until the layer of wax has melted all the way to the edge; otherwise, a tunnel will form. And never place candles in a draught: they will burn down more quickly and unevenly. You can also find dinner candles for a set table in Table Candles.
What is the difference between organic stearin and paraffin?
Paraffin is a petroleum product found in many conventional candles. Organic stearin candles, on the other hand, burn cleanly and evenly – for more conscious evenings without petroleum in your living room.
How long do the tealights burn?
The eco tealights burn for around 7 hours, while the organic tealights burn for up to 10 hours – ideal when you want the light to last all evening.
What is a massage candle?
A massage candle melts into a warm oil that you can apply directly to the skin – candlelight and skincare in one. The “Love” and “Relax” variants turn it into a small ritual.
