Checked one-off items are returned products with minor cosmetic flaws: fully functional, cleaned and significantly cheaper than new. Instead of being lost in the returns cycle, these products are given a second life at Taiga. Each item is available only once — ready to ship while stocks last.
How we check each one-off item
- Checked individually: Every product is checked, cleaned and tested to ensure it is fully functional.
- Cosmetic flaws only: Any defect is limited to the exterior — such as damaged original packaging, fine scratches or a small dent.
- Complete: The product remains fully functional and all included contents are present.

Our current one-off items come from Brabantia: pedal bins and Touch Bins ranging from the compact NewIcon with 20 litres, through the Bo Touch Bin with three plastic inner bins for separating waste, to the 36-litre Bo Touch Bin — in white, matt steel, matt black or metallic gold.
Why returned goods can be the smarter choice
A returned item whose only flaw is damaged packaging is no different from a new product in use — except for the price. If you can live with a fine scratch, you can save significantly while ensuring that a finished product is used rather than discarded. A practical tip: one-off items sell out quickly. If you like a model, don’t wait too long.
What exactly is a “checked one-off item”?
These are returned products that have been checked individually, cleaned and tested to ensure they are fully functional. The flaw is purely cosmetic — for example, damaged packaging or fine scratches. You receive a fully functional product at a reduced price.

How long is a one-off item available?
Each item exists only once and is ready to ship immediately — but only while stocks last. Once an item is sold, it’s gone.
