Description
The Riess CLASSIC cake tin is a round black enamel baking tin with a lift-out base, available in four sizes for Sachertorte, Linzertorte or Malakoff torte.
The lift-out base makes all the difference
Simply fit the base into the rim. Once baked, push it upwards and lift the cake out of the tin. The curved rim – known as a rolled rim in enamel terminology – makes the tin sturdy, long-lasting and easy to care for when used and cared for correctly.
Enamel: iron and glass as baking partners
The material consists of an iron core fused with glass at high temperature. The iron core distributes heat evenly in the oven, while the smooth, non-porous glass surface does not affect flavour and is easy to clean. The tin is also resistant to fruit acids.

Use & care
Before first use: Remove the sticker, fill with boiling water and vinegar, and leave to stand briefly. RIESS enamel can be washed in the dishwasher. Riess recommends washing by hand to preserve enamel’s brilliant shine for longer. If using a dishwasher, select the gentle glassware programme. Avoid wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand and cleaning sponges with ceramic particles. Store thoroughly dried; remove limescale with vinegar water.

Classic is Taiga’s largest Riess collection: classic Riess shapes in white, pastel shades and black, plus Classic Pure Grey, baking enamel in blue and Color Rot. Enamel pots, saucepans, frying pans, baking tins and kitchen utensils. According to Riess, most pots and pans are suitable for all hob types, including induction.

Why are there small areas without enamel around the rim?
According to Riess, these are support points from the manufacturing process: the cookware is hung on hooks to dry. Riess does not consider this a defect. To prevent flash rust from forming there, store the cookware thoroughly dried and occasionally grease the exposed edges with cooking oil.
