Description
Description
Our classic enamel casseroles with lids feature a straight-sided design and traditional enamel handles. Depending on your hob, you can switch it off completely around 5 minutes before the end of cooking, as enamel retains heat for a long time. We therefore strongly recommend using oven gloves when lifting the casserole and lid, as the enamel handles also retain heat. Another advantage of the enamel handles is that you can safely place the casserole in the oven to keep food warm. The rim of the casserole is finished with a durable chrome edge.
The casserole with lid is available in various sizes, depending on the colour and design, and is an essential piece of equipment in every kitchen.

Use & care
Use & care
Before first use: Remove the sticker, fill with boiling vinegar water and leave to soak briefly. RIESS enamel is dishwasher-safe. Riess recommends washing by hand to keep the enamel looking brilliantly glossy for longer. If using a dishwasher, select the gentle glassware programme. Avoid wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand and cleaning sponges with ceramic particles. Store thoroughly dried; remove limescale with vinegar water.

Frequently asked questions about the series
Can I use Country crockery on an induction hob?
According to Riess, the spouted pots, saucepans and pots in the Country designs are suitable for all types of hob, including induction. Start on a low setting and do not use the boost function. The compatible hob types are listed for each product.
Is Country crockery dishwasher-safe?
Yes, according to Riess, almost all Country products are dishwasher-safe. For best results, use the gentle glassware programme. To keep them looking their best for longer, Riess recommends washing them by hand.
How do I care for enamel properly?
Use mild washing-up liquid and a soft sponge. Wire brushes, steel wool and abrasive cleaners will scratch the surface. Allow hot cookware to cool before adding cold water.
Brand
Since 1922, Riess has been enamelling cookware in Ybbsitz, Lower Austria: glass fired onto steel at 850 °C. Riess pots and pans work on all hob types, including induction.
