Where Sonett comes from
- Its roots lie in the Herrischried Flow Research Institute in the Black Forest, where natural scientist Johannes Schnorr studied drinking water and developed the modular laundry system
- Beate Oberdorfer and Gerhard Heid took over the company in 1992; Rebecca Kramer and Kerstin Schramm have run it since May 2022
- Registered office: Mistelweg 1, Deggenhausen
- Sonett supplies 31 European and 12 non-European countries and labels its products in 16 languages
How Sonett products are made
- Some products are filled and labelled by people requiring assistance at the Camphill Lehenhof workshops
- In the modular system, detergent, water softener and bleach are dosed separately
- Sonett deliberately avoids enzymes in its laundry detergent
Range at Taiga
- Sensitive: fragrance-free range including laundry detergent, hand soap, washing-up liquid and all-purpose cleaner
- Laundry detergent (powder, Lavender, Colour), water softener and stain spray
- Washing-up liquid, dishwasher detergent, dishwasher tablets, rinse aid and dishwasher salt
- Cleaners, soaps, and surface and hand disinfectants
How to use
The dosage depends on water hardness, soiling and drum size. You can find a dosage calculator for this at sonett.eu. Load the washing machine loosely, leaving about a hand's width of space above the laundry.
Frequently asked questions about Sonett
What is the Sonett modular system?
The modular system separates laundry detergent, water softener and bleach. You dose each component according to water hardness and soiling. The bleaching complex works in the machine from 50 °C; below that temperature, use it for soaking.
How do I dose Sonett laundry detergent?
According to water hardness, degree of soiling and drum size. You can find your region's value on your water bill. According to Sonett, the powder concentrate requires water softener from medium hardness (8 to 14 °dH), while the liquid detergent only requires it in the hard range (from 14 °dH).
Where is Sonett based, and who fills the products?
Sonett GmbH is based at Mistelweg 1, Deggenhausen. People requiring assistance at the Camphill Lehenhof workshops fill and label some of the products.
