Use & care
Use & care
To keep your stainless steel cookware looking shiny for longer, follow these tips.
- KELOMAT stainless steel cookware is dishwasher-safe. However, the polished surface will stay looking its best for longer if you wash it by hand with a sponge and mild washing-up liquid, and never use abrasive cleaners or wire wool.
- Dry the cookware thoroughly afterwards and do not leave it to air-dry, so that water droplets do not leave marks.
- If this does happen or the stainless steel cookware becomes discoloured over time, simply clean it occasionally with lemon or vinegar and a soft cloth or sponge.
- For stubborn marks, use a specialist stainless steel cleaner.
- Thoroughly cleaning both the cookware and the hob is important, as residue, salt or sugar grains on the hob or on the underside of the cookware can cause scratches on the hob. To prevent this, always lift the cookware when placing it on or removing it from the hob, and never slide or drag it.
About the collection Kelomat Prime
Part of the series Kelomat
PRIME is Kelomat's range of stainless steel pans with a ceramic non-stick coating: frying pans, a deep frying pan with a high rim and a wok. According to the manufacturer, all three are suitable for all hob types, including induction, and are oven-safe. They are available in sizes from 20 to 28 cm.
Frequently asked questions about the collection
Are the PRIME pans suitable for induction hobs?
Yes. According to Kelomat, the PRIME series frying pan, sauté pan and wok are suitable for all hob types, including induction. The compatible hob types are listed for each product.
Can PRIME frying pans be used in the oven?
Yes, according to Kelomat, they are oven-safe. The product information does not specify a maximum temperature. The handles and pan get hot, so use oven gloves.
How do I care for stainless steel properly?
Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool. Dry thoroughly after washing to prevent water droplets from leaving marks. Lift the pan on the hob rather than sliding it to avoid scratches. This is Kelomat’s recommendation.
