Moltex

Moltex is a nappy brand with German roots. In 1961, entrepreneur Grete Schickedanz launched Germany's first trapezoid nappy under the Moltex name. The brand now belongs to the Ontex group.

Where Moltex comes from

• 1961: Germany's first trapezoid nappy is launched under the Moltex brand
• 1969: the non-woven nappy follows, and in 1973 the Combinette nappy pants
• 1983: the nappies gain elasticated leg cuffs
• 1985: Moltex introduces the first nappy without perfume
• 1991: according to Moltex, the first unbleached nappy is launched
• Legal entity: Moltex Baby-Hygiene GmbH, based in Mayen

How the nappies are made

• Absorbent core with wood-pulp cellulose
• Free from natural latex, lotions and fragrances
• Patented channel technology combined with an Instant-Dry system
• According to Moltex, the nappy pants stretch all around and are easy to change

• Nappies: six sizes, from Newborn at 2 to 5 kg up to XL
• Nappy pants: available in two sizes

Fit

Moltex organises its sizes by weight. If leaks or red marks appear around the hips, Moltex recommends trying a larger size.
