Sonett

Sonett is a manufacturer of laundry, washing-up and cleaning products based in Deggenhausen. The company was founded in 1977 and is owned by a non-profit foundation.

Where Sonett comes from

• Its roots lie in the Herrischried Flow Research Institute in the Black Forest, where natural scientist Johannes Schnorr studied drinking water and developed the modular laundry system
• Beate Oberdorfer and Gerhard Heid took over the company in 1992; Rebecca Kramer and Kerstin Schramm have run it since May 2022
• Registered office: Mistelweg 1, Deggenhausen
• Sonett supplies 31 European and 12 non-European countries and labels its products in 16 languages

How Sonett products are made

• Some products are filled and labelled by people requiring assistance at the Camphill Lehenhof workshops
• In the modular system, detergent, water softener and bleach are dosed separately
• Sonett deliberately avoids enzymes in its laundry detergent

How to use

The dosage depends on water hardness, soiling and drum size. You can find a dosage calculator for this at sonett.eu. Load the washing machine loosely, leaving about a hand's width of space above the laundry.
