Dr. Bronner´s

Dr. Bronner's is a family-owned soap and body care company founded by Emanuel Bronner in the USA in 1948. His family had already been making soap in Laupheim, Germany, since 1858.

Where Dr. Bronner's comes from

• The Heilbronner family's soapmaking begins in Laupheim in 1858
• Emanuel Heilbronner is born in 1908 and emigrates to the USA in 1929
• He founds Dr. Bronner's in 1948; production later moves to Escondido, California
• Still family-owned today; Dr. Bronner's Europe GmbH is based in Laupheim

What's in the soap

• Pure-Castile means soap made from pure plant oils, with no animal fats
• Liquid soaps are saponified with potassium hydroxide; bar soaps with sodium hydroxide
• Ingredients of the 18-in-1 soap: saponified coconut, palm kernel, olive, hemp and jojoba oils
• pH value according to Dr. Bronner's: 18-in-1 9.75 to 10, Sugar Soap 8.0 to 9.0, bar soap 10 to 10.5

• 18-in-1: liquid soap in lavender, peppermint, citrus-orange and Baby-Mild (unscented), 240 ml to 3.8 l
• Sugar Soap: pump soap in lemongrass-lime and lavender, 355 ml to 1.9 l
• Bar soap: citrus-orange, 140 g
• Body lotion: patchouli-lime and orange-lavender, 240 ml

How to use

For the 18-in-1 soap, put 2 to 3 drops on your hands, lather and rinse. Dr. Bronner's lists 18 uses, from washing hands to cleaning dishes, laundry and floors.
