myfelt

At Taiga, myfelt stands for home accessories made from felted wool balls: felt ball rugs in a wide range of colours and sizes, seat pads for chairs and benches, and trivets for the table — plus poufs, cushions and cosy hideaways for cats.

The myfelt range at Taiga

Felt ball rugs are at the heart of the range: classic designs such as Egon, Carl and Béla, bold colourways such as Daisy and Contrast — many of them also available as Big One in larger formats. The seat pad selection ranges from Taro and Aven to Mona and Vera, while trivets such as Béla protect tables and worktops. The range also includes poufs such as Mats, cushions such as Alwin, the Kuno and Risa cat caves, the Lora cat basket and felt ball play sets for dogs.

Why myfelt is a good fit for Taiga

Each myfelt piece is made from individually felted wool balls — a robust material that absorbs sound and brings colour into a room without being overpowering. The rugs are at the heart of our rug collection; seat pads and trivets carry the same look through to the kitchen and dining area.

Why wool felt works in the home

Wool absorbs moisture and releases it slowly, noticeably dampens sound and is naturally dirt-repellent thanks to its lanolin — which is why felt ball rugs are a classic choice for children's rooms and living rooms. Each ball is felted and dyed individually; the patterns are created by arranging real coloured balls, not by printing.

How do you care for a felt ball rug?

Vacuum regularly on a low setting without a rotating brush; dab stains with lukewarm water and a little wool detergent rather than rubbing them. The rug should not go in the washing machine — spot cleaning is sufficient and helps protect the wool.

Which size is right for my room?

Under a coffee table, a rug works best when it extends clearly beyond the edges of the table; in the dining area, even pulled-back chairs should still sit on the rug. The Big One formats are designed for precisely these more generous proportions. A tip: mark out the desired area on the floor with masking tape first — that way, you can immediately see how the size will look.
