Description
The NOUVELLE enamel cookware set from Riess contains five pieces: cooking pots in 16, 20 and 24 cm, a casserole (20 cm) — the pots and casserole come with glass lids — and a frying pan (28 cm) with a plastic handle. A strong steel heat-retaining base distributes heat evenly, while the robust chrome rim protects the edges from chipping.
Why enamel?
Enamel is made by fusing glass with iron at high temperatures — a material made from natural raw materials. The strong steel heat-retaining base distributes heat quickly and evenly; thanks to its excellent heat conductivity, the sides of the pots also heat up all the way round, which Riess says saves energy. The non-porous, smooth glass surface does not affect flavour, needs no synthetic coating and is easy to clean.
Which hobs is it suitable for?
All types of hob: gas, electric, ceramic, induction — and even open fire. The stainless steel handles on the pots and casserole are ergonomically shaped, while the glass lids let you watch your food as it cooks.
Five-piece set or starter set?
Five cooking vessels — four of them with glass lids — provide a broad basic selection: three pot sizes (16, 20 and 24 cm), plus a casserole and frying pan. For a more compact selection, there is the three-piece NOUVELLE starter set with a cooking pot, casserole and spouted saucepan — it does not include a frying pan. You can see which NOUVELLE pieces are currently available individually or as a set in the Riess collection.
