Hair conditioner
Organic hair conditioner without silicones makes the difference between unruly and smooth hair: plant oils and natural proteins provide moisture and improve manageability – without ingredients that weigh your hair down over time. Here you’ll find conditioners in natural cosmetics quality, in liquid form or as solid bars – many of them vegan and fairly traded.
How to recognise a good hair conditioner
- Silicone-free: Conditioning should be absorbed by the hair, not seal it – silicones only smooth hair temporarily and can weigh it down over time.
- Plant-based ingredients: Hemp, wheat germ, oat or apricot – depending on your needs, from repair to volume.
- Values: Brands such as I+M and Fair Squared are vegan and fairly traded – genuine natural cosmetics quality.
- Format: Classic conditioner from a bottle or as a solid bar – compact, long-lasting and without a plastic bottle.
Our brands: why we chose them
I+M offers vegan, fairly traded conditioners with a clear focus: repair with hemp, volume with wheat germ.
Speick stands for straightforward natural cosmetics for everyday use – from Pure Hair Conditioner to Natural Aktiv Hair Conditioner.
Weleda offers a classic for stressed hair with its Hafer Aufbau-Spülung.
Fair Squared complements the range with fairly traded care – including the Haarspülung Apricot.
Lamazuna takes a solid approach to hair care: its solid conditioner is compact, long-lasting and ideal for travelling.
Mukti Organics adds rich plant-based care in a larger format with the Botanique Conditioner.
How to get the most from your conditioner
First wash your hair with a mild natural shampoo, gently squeeze out excess water and apply the conditioner to the lengths and ends – not the roots. Leave it on briefly, then rinse thoroughly. Once a week, your hair can benefit from more intensive care: use a nourishing hair treatment instead of your quick conditioner.
Why choose a hair conditioner without silicones?
Silicones form a film around the hair: it looks shiny straight away, but the hair underneath is not nourished and can feel weighed down over time. Plant oils and proteins nourish the hair fibre itself instead – the effect builds over time rather than wearing off.
How do you use a solid conditioner?
Briefly wet the bar and glide it directly over the lengths, or emulsify it between your hands. Solid conditioner is highly concentrated, lasts a long time and fits in any travel bag.
What helps with dry hair?
Consistency: use conditioner after every wash, along with rich care from our plant-based hair care range. Moisturising formulas improve manageability and restore softness to dry hair.
