Description
These tall pots with chrome rims are available in white or popular pastel colours (pink, turquoise and yellow). Each size is available in ONE pastel colour. The tall pastel pot with chrome rim has a classic straight shape and an enamelled handle. There are 3 sizes of pastel pots in total: 12 cm/1.0 litre, 14 cm/1.5 litres and 16 cm/2.0 litres.
Lids for the cooking pots are available as an option. They sit securely on the pot. As soon as the lid starts to rattle, it is time to reduce the heat. Depending on the hob, it can be switched off completely around 5 minutes before the end of cooking, as enamel retains heat for a long time. We therefore strongly recommend using oven gloves to lift the pots and lids, as the enamelled handles also retain heat. However, the advantage of the enamelled handles is that you can confidently place the pot in the oven to keep it warm. The rim of the pot is finished with a sturdy chrome edge.
The cooking pot with chrome rim from the Classic Pastel range is a basic piece of equipment for any kitchen belonging to pastel colour enthusiasts.
Enamel is made from iron fused with glass at high temperatures, meaning it is made from natural raw materials. This enamel cookware can be used on all types of hob (gas, electric, glass-ceramic, induction and even over an open flame). Thanks to the iron core, heat is conducted quickly and then retained.
Perfect hygiene is ensured by the non-porous, smooth glass surface. It is odourless and easy to clean. When used and cared for properly, enamel cookware will provide long-lasting enjoyment and retain its characteristic shine.

Use & care
Before first use: remove the sticker, fill with boiling vinegar solution and leave to stand briefly. RIESS enamel is dishwasher-safe. Riess recommends hand washing to keep the enamel’s radiant shine for longer. If using a dishwasher, select the gentle glassware programme. Avoid wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand and cleaning sponges with ceramic particles. Store thoroughly dried; remove limescale marks with vinegar solution.

Which Classic products are suitable for induction hobs?
According to Riess, the pots, saucepans and frying pans in the Classic range are suitable for all hob types, including induction. Start on a low heat and do not use the boost function. The compatible hob types are listed for each product.
Can Classic baking tins be used in the oven?
Yes, the baking tins and baking trays are designed for use in the oven. Riess does not specify a maximum oven temperature. The tins and handles become hot, so use oven gloves.
Can Classic enamel go in the dishwasher?
Yes, according to Riess, most Classic products are dishwasher-safe, preferably using the gentle glassware programme. For a lasting shine, Riess recommends washing them by hand. This information is provided for each product.
Why are there small areas without enamel around the rim?
According to Riess, these are support points from the manufacturing process: the cookware is hung on hooks to dry. Riess does not consider this a defect. To prevent flash rust from forming there, store the cookware thoroughly dried and occasionally grease the exposed edges with cooking oil.
