Storage jars
Enamel food storage tins keep food fresh and bring order to the kitchen and pantry. This collection includes food storage containers and storage boxes from RIESS: enamel is durable, odour-neutral and easy to clean. It also includes classic milk cans with lids — some with wooden handles.
How to recognise good food storage tins
Material: Enamel has a glass-like, sealed surface — it absorbs neither odours nor discolouration and is quick to clean.
Suitable sizes: The Serve+Store food storage containers come in shallow sizes — such as 11 × 15 × 5 cm or 15 × 23 × 5 cm — as well as taller versions for larger quantities. This lets you make efficient use of your fridge and shelves.
Lids: All containers in the range come with a lid, keeping food covered, stackable and fresh.
Our brand: why RIESS
RIESS specialises in enamel cookware and containers designed to last for generations rather than seasons. Alongside the Serve+Store containers, you’ll find milk cans such as Landlust with an enamel lid and wooden handle, Almliesel and the 2-litre Dirndl milk can.
How to care for enamel
Enamel is easy to care for: clean with warm water and mild washing-up liquid, and soak stubborn residue rather than scrubbing it. Avoid metal scourers, which can scratch the surface, and protect the edges from hard knocks — then your tins will last for many years. You’ll also find useful kitchen helpers in Kitchen accessories and the zero-waste kitchen.
Why choose enamel food storage tins instead of plastic?
Enamel is odour-neutral, absorbs neither smells nor colours and can last for decades when treated well. Plastic containers, on the other hand, scratch over time and need to be replaced repeatedly.
Can I also use the containers for serving?
Yes — that’s exactly what the Serve+Store range is designed for: storing food, keeping leftovers and placing them straight on the table. You’ll find matching plates and bowls in our tableware selection.
What can I use the milk cans for?
Traditionally for milk — but they also work as jugs for water or juice, or as attractive lidded storage containers. Find more storage solutions for the rest of your home under Storage.
