CLASSIC Pastel Kitchen Scale

The Riess CLASSIC Pastell kitchen measure is an enamel measuring jug for measuring cooking and baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, milk or water. It is available in 500 ml (Pink) and 1 litre (Turquoise). Two scales show centilitres and 1/8- or 1/4-litre increments, while a side handle and pouring spout make pouring easy.

The kitchen measure or measuring jug is used to portion cooking and baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, milk, water and other cold or hot liquids. Two scales on the inside of the kitchen measure or measuring jug show litres in centilitre increments and in ¼- or 1/8-litre increments respectively, depending on the size of the kitchen measure. The latter is the traditional Austrian unit of measurement for liquids. The measuring jug has a comfortable side handle and a pouring spout, known as a ‘beak’, for pouring liquids with ease. The rim of the kitchen measure is curved – in enamel terminology, this is called a rolled rim.

Enamel is made from iron fused with glass at high temperatures, using natural raw materials. This sustainable enamel cookware can be used on all types of hob (gas, electric, ceramic, induction and even over an open fire). Thanks to its iron core, it conducts heat quickly and then retains it: for sustainable, energy-efficient cooking.
