The organic tampons use rolled cotton containing long organic cotton fibres, which gently absorb menstrual blood and expand widthways. The cotton is soft and absorbent and does not dry out the vagina’s protective mucous membrane. Natracare tampons contain no fragrances or dyes, unlike many other tampons, which have an additional synthetic-fibre coating. Natracare tampons are also bleached without chlorine, as toxic carcinogens are a by-product of this process (dioxin). The cotton used is non-GMO, so no pesticides, plastic, toxic substances or viscose fibres enter the body.
