Oceanshield™ is the world's first respiratory protection mask made entirely from plant-based materials* to offer FFP2 protection, and it is manufactured without the use of petroleum. This not only provides optimum protection for people, but its bio-based materials from renewable sources also help conserve resources and protect the climate. The bioplastic (PLA) used in this mask is also fully biodegradable. In addition, Oceanshield™ is comfortable to wear and made from skin-friendly materials. The particle-filtering half mask also offers the highest FFP2 quality and therefore optimum protection for everyday use. Wearing this mask also effectively minimises the transmission of viruses and bacteria.

SUSTAINABILITY & ECOLOGY

The plant-based mask is made from renewable raw materials. The natural materials used in its production are fully biodegradable.

Material:

Bio-based plastic: PLA (polylactic acid), generally made from bio-based materials such as maize or sugar cane

Correct disposal:

Although the mask is biodegradable, we strongly advise disposing of it in general waste. Disposal in food waste is not possible because the processing times at composting facilities are too short.

Instructions for use:

• First check whether the mask is damaged and replace it if you notice any irregularities.
• Then open the mask to prepare it for putting on your face. The nose wire should point upwards and the cushion should face inwards.
• Before putting it on, adjust the nose wire to the shape of your nose using your index fingers.
• Then place the ear loops around your ears so that the mask fits closely against your face and fully covers your nose and chin.
• Finally, adjust the nose wire with both index fingers to fit it precisely to your nose.
• Finally, check that the mask fits tightly enough and adjust it if necessary to ensure a secure fit.
• When storing, keep away from contaminated areas, prevent extrusion and avoid contact with moisture, high temperatures and corrosive chemicals.

Warnings:

• The fit is crucial to the performance of this filtering half mask.
• Before use, check that the mask fits correctly on your face.
• Facial hair may impair the effectiveness of this mask.
• The mask is not suitable for poor air quality (contaminants, lack of oxygen) or explosive atmospheres.
• This product is not flame-retardant and must not be used in areas with naked flames.
• Consumers must familiarise themselves with the use and handling of the mask before using it.
• If the product is damaged, do not use it and contact the manufacturer.
• Dispose of the mask after use (for one work shift only).
• Do not use in clinical settings with a high risk of respiratory infection.
