Oceanshield™ is the world's first FFP2-guaranteed respiratory mask, made exclusively from plant-based materials* and produced without the use of petroleum. This means it not only offers optimal protection for humans, but also conserves resources and the climate thanks to its bio-based, renewable materials. In addition, the bio-plastic (PLA) used in this mask is fully biodegradable. Oceanshield™ also features a comfortable feel and skin-friendly materials. SUSTAINABILITY & ECOLOGY

The plant-based mask was manufactured using renewable raw materials. The natural materials used in its production are fully biodegradable.

Material:

Bio-based plastic: PLA (Polylactic acid), usually from bio-based materials such as corn or sugarcane

Correct disposal:

Even though the mask is biodegradable, we strongly advise that it must be disposed of in the residual waste. Disposal in organic waste is not possible due to insufficient turnover times in composting plants.

Instructions for use:

• First, check whether the mask is damaged and replace it if you notice any irregularities.
• Then open the mask to prepare it for placing on your face. The nose clip should point upwards and the cushion inwards.
• Beforehand, adjust the nose clip to the shape of your nose with your index fingers.
• Then place the ear loops around your ears so that the mask fits snugly against your face and completely covers your nose and chin.
• Afterwards, adjust the nose clip with both index fingers to finally fit it to your nose.
• Finally, check whether the mask fits tightly enough and adjust it if necessary to ensure a secure fit.
• Keep away from contaminated areas during storage, prevent extrusion, and avoid contact with moisture, high temperatures, and corrosive chemicals.

Warnings:

• Fit is crucial for the performance of this filtering half mask.
• Before use, check that the mask is properly seated on the face.
• Facial hair can impair the effectiveness of this mask.
• The mask is not suitable for poor air quality (pollution, oxygen deficiency) or in explosive atmospheres.
• This product is not flame retardant and should not be used in areas with open flames.
• Consumers must familiarize themselves with the use and handling of the mask before use.
• If the product is damaged, do not use it and contact the manufacturer.
• Dispose of the mask after use (valid for one shift only).
• Do not use in clinical environments with a high risk of respiratory infection.
• Not for use in surgical procedures where significant contact with (body) fluids is expected.
• Do not use near strong heat sources or flammable gases.
• This mask must not be used against risks other than those previously described.
