The soapmaker from Aleppo: Our soapmaker, Mohamad Khiro, has travelled a long way. He had to flee Aleppo in Syria with his family, leaving behind his destroyed soap factory. In Cologne, he now recreates famous Aleppo soap at Fair Squared, among other products, continuing a long-standing tradition. Fair Squared is grateful for the motivation, craftsmanship and creativity that ultimately led to our soaps. He personally stirs, pours, cuts and stamps every single bar. It is only fitting, then, that a portrait of the “soapmaker from Aleppo” adorns every single soap package.
