Recycled toilet paper is the easiest household switch of all: everyone needs toilet paper, but no one needs virgin fibre for it. We are deliberately keeping this selection small for now – currently, we stock moist toilet paper from Eco by Naty; we only add new products if they meet our criteria.
How to recognise good recycled toilet paper
- Raw material: Recycled paper gives waste paper another use, while bamboo is the virgin-fibre-free alternative.
- Number of plies: 2-ply paper goes particularly far, while 3-ply is noticeably more comfortable.
- Packaging: ideally plastic-free – from individual packs to multipacks.
- Pack size: bulk packs mean fewer orders, journeys and packaging.

Practical advice: stocking up and storage
Toilet paper does not go off – when stored in a dry place, it keeps indefinitely, so stocking up is almost always worthwhile. And while you are at it: eco kitchen roll, plastic-free oral care and natural soaps complete the bathroom in one go.
Is recycled toilet paper as soft as virgin fibre?
Modern multi-ply varieties are hardly inferior to virgin fibre – soft and tear-resistant at the same time. You will not notice the difference in everyday use – but the forest that remains standing will.
Recycled paper or bamboo – which is better?
Both avoid virgin fibre: recycled paper gives waste paper another life, while bamboo grows back quickly. Choose according to personal preference – and look for plastic-free packaging.
What is moist toilet paper suitable for?
As a gentle addition to dry paper – a real comfort boost, especially for sensitive skin.
