About Hydrophil
Frequently asked questions about Hydrophil
What does the name Hydrophil mean?
Hydrophil comes from Greek and means water-loving. The brand grew from a blog about water; the founders came up with the idea on a cycling trip through Hamburg.
What is a Hydrophil toothbrush made of?
With the Classic and Professional models, the handle is made of bamboo and the bristles are made of plastic. According to Hydrophil, the coloured varnish on the handle is solvent-free. For children, Hydrophil recommends the Elephant toothbrush from age 3.
How do I care for the Hydrophil konjac sponge and loofah soap dish?
After use, don't wring out the konjac sponge, as this can damage its fine-pored structure, according to Hydrophil. Boil it once a week and don't share it with others. The loofah soap dish can be boiled at up to 120 °C and isn't suitable for machine washing.
