This sharpening steel is ideal for all Güde knives and ensures that the blade regains its usual sharpness before it becomes dull. The hand-forged, round steel rod made of alloy tool steel, consisting of a chrome-vanadium mixture, is hard chrome-plated, rust-free, and magnetic. With a medium-fine surface, this sharpening steel is perfect for household and kitchen knives. The oak wood handle, matured in over 80-year-old wine barrels, offers exceptional durability and an elegant appearance, with color and grain variations possible. Complemented by triple riveting – stainless steel rivets and an aluminum palm rivet – the sharpening steel combines functionality with timeless design. Care instructions: Hand wash recommended, not suitable for Japanese V-grind blades. A masterpiece from Güde for precise sharpness.
